Downtown Hamilton is finally coming back!

For the longest time, Downtown Hamilton was a forgotten area, no one wanted to live here. Home prices were so cheap and yet people didnt feel comfortable being here. Excuses were always the lower income class lives here, crime rate higher, drugs, you name it.

But realistic, Hamilton crime rate is a joke compare to major metropolitan cities. I think in 2010, there were 10 murders, and in 2012 the number rose to 12.

Lately, we have seeing an increase in house prices, assessment growth in the downtown core and a lot more private investment, especially condos and new stores moving in.

People are finally realizing that Hamilton is a great place to invest, easy enough to get to Toronto, in fact, there will be all day train service from the new station being built.
in 2015, we will be hosting Pan Am games, and the new Tiger Cat and soccer stadium will be ready by then, adding more small businesses near and helping the economy grow.

Hamilton is still inexpensive city to live in and as an investment. For example, you can get a 3 bedroom detached  2.5 story home for $129,900. 473 Cannon St East is less than 5 minute drive to the current Go Station, the new go station, the new stadium, downtown core, all super close by.
